If you haven’t tried a wine from the many countless wineries around the Okanagan, you’re truly missing out. Some of the world’s best wine (no joke) has been made from the vineyards here. So, if you’re looking up some things to do in the Okanagan Valley the first thing on your list should be to try some of the wine here.
Below we’ve selected some of the key wineries you can’t miss out on.
Things to Do in the Okanagan Valley: Trying the Wines of Mission Hill
Mission Hill is not only one of the Okanagan’s most popular destinations for wines, but it’s also a very popular wedding venue. With scenic views and an expansive property, there’s no shortage of beauty while you’re tasting their award-winning wines. In fact, in 2019 they were even awarded the Canadian Winery of the Year.
With a vibe that’s more Europe than Canada, we recommend trying their reds from the Legacy Collection. These include the Oculus, Quatrain, Compendium, and so on
Explore the Tastings of Quail’s Gate
In addition to their wines, you absolutely need to order something off the menu at Quail’s Gate’s Old Vines Restaurant. All of their food is farm-to-table and will not only fill you up but pair perfectly with their amazing wines.
Enjoy their Gewürztraminer, Pinot Noir, and Old Vines Foch while taking in the incredible lake views. You won’t be disappointed.
Find Your New Favourite Wine at 50th Parallel Estate
While they offer many types of wine here, you won’t want to miss out on the gorgeous views on the property. 50th Parallel prides themselves on their quality pinot noirs and there’s good reason for that. They taste excellent and have won a plethora of awards.
We recommend trying their Gewürztraminer, Pinot Noir Rosé, and the multiple Pinot Noirs specifically.
If you can’t make it to the wineries, but still want to experience the wines, all of the wineries mentioned above are available at Brandt’s Creek Liquor Store to enjoy at your convenience.
