Top Weekend Activities in Kelowna

If you are headed to Kelowna for a weekend this fall, you will find no shortage of fun activities to keep you busy. Whether you’re looking to get outside and explore nature, or tour some of the local food and drink hotspots, there is something for everyone. We’ve put together a list of some of the best weekend activities in Kelowna to add to your itinerary for your next visit!

Weekend Activities in Kelowna: Get Outdoors!

There is no shortage of fun outdoor activities in Kelowna, including hiking, biking, and even just getting outside to explore Kelowna’s natural beauty. One activity that is worth checking out is the world-famous Myra Canyon, a lovingly restored section of the Kettle Valley Railway Trail located just 30 kilometres from Kelowna. It spans 12 kilometres one-way and is quite flat, making it a fun trail to walk or bike. What makes Myra Canyon so special are the 18 trestle bridges and 2 tunnels that you can pass over and through. The entire canyon boasts stunning views and informative signs making it an educational and truly unique experience!

If you’re looking to stay right in Kelowna but still get a taste of the outdoors, then Mission Creek Regional Park is definitely worth visiting. The greenway trail runs right through the center of Kelowna and offers a flat, well-maintained walking path. Nature is plentiful along the trail, and if you happen to be visiting in the fall, be sure to keep an eye out for salmon spawning in the creek.
